ROYAL HISTORICAL SOCIETY OF VICTORIA
Established in 1909, the Royal Historical Society of Victoria Inc. has an extensive collection of manuscripts, documents, postcards and photographs relating to the history of all areas of Victoria, Australia. Membership of the RHSV allows members’ participation in excursions, lectures, exhibitions, receipt of regular newsletters and to research their collection from Monday to Friday 10am – 4 pm at 239 A’Beckett Street Melbourne 3000.
STATE LIBRARY OF VICTORIA
The State Library of Victoria has, within its archives, an extensive collection of manuscripts, documents and photographs relating to the history of Victoria. The State Library can be visited at 328 Swanston Street Melbourne Victoria 3000.
NATIONAL LIBRARY OF AUSTRALIA
The National Library of Australia has, within its archives, an extensive collection of photographs relating to the history of all the states and territories throughout Australia.

On these site can be found a collection of images from institutions, both in Australia and overseas, which may be browsed free of charge.
GREAT GISBORNE GAZETTE The GREAT Gisborne Gazette was a 2006 initiative of the GREAT Association (Gisborne Region Events, Activities and Tourism). The paper commenced in September  as a small format, two-colour publication. It has now grown to a larger format, 36 page, full colour community newspaper.

THE GREAT Association Gisborne Region Events Activities and Tourism promotes events and encourages tourism. GREAT produces The GREAT Gisborne Gazette a monthly Community Newspaper including a regular “History Page” and a “100 Years Ago” column provided from the files of the Historical Society and manages the Gisborne Olde Time Markets.
